Hospital Bill Assistance for my Mother, Olympia (Covid-19 Patient)

Knocking on your generous hearts for my mother.

On April 20 my mother was admitted to hospital with acute appendicitis. Due to Covid19, all the public hospitals were at maximum capacity so she had to be admitted to a private hospital (St Lukes QC) for treatment (also so she can use her HMO Card). While there, she tested positive for Covid19, and because of this, she is required to remain in hospital until she has 2 negative test results (April 30 and May 9 Test). While in the hospital, she had to undergo extra dialysis treatments due to the antibiotics she was given. Unfortunately, her medical coverage for HMO has already maxed out due to chronic illness. The running hospital bill has already reached over 1.3 million pesos for her 3 weeks in admission on the hospital. The government (Philhealth) will only pay a small fraction (9,000 pesos for Covid with no pneumonia as per the final diagnosis.

Last May 11, her 2nd Swab Test result is negative (second negative) which means she can now go home provided we are able to settle the hospital bill.

I am the only one in the family working to support my parents who are now both elderly. Part of my monthly salary and earnings also goes to my mother’s regular medication and dialysis sessions for her chronic kidney failure aside from our other basic needs and monthly bills which I also need to cover. We do not have enough means to settle the bill instantly.
