Why I wish to build Horizon Fight Academy

As a victim myself, I understand what bully victims go through. My name is Mohamed Hakim Bin Baharuddin, My life hadn't been easy growing up because of lack of confidence and low self-esteem, this is the result of being bullied when i was in high school. Some people may say that when bullied, victims only went through physical pain that will heal over time, this cannot be further from the truth. When someone is bullied they suffer not only temporary physical damage but permanent psychological damage as well. Most common psychological problems developed by bully victims are lack of self-confidence, low self esteem and worse cases are depression that can lead to suicidal tendency, this will cause a problem for a teenager to grow up as normal functioning adult and they will continue to be bullied throughout their lives..

Most cases Bully victims do not know how to effectively defend themselves physically, that will lead them to feel scared and small, too scared to stand up for themselves. In my case I was fortunate enough to have found the most effective way to defend myself and to slowly regain my self-confidence through Mixed Martial Arts.

Mixed Martial Arts or MMA, is the best way to learn how to defend oneself against bullies, however the cost of learning and procuring the skill and ability in mixed martial arts are expensive and these type of training are hard to come by in Malaysia. Horizon Fight Academy aims to overcome that problem by building a cheap and affordable training gym for bully victims or anyone that wishes to learn the most effective martial arts with minimum cost.
