Hopman Brewery Tap Room

As part of our journey we're expanding our Brewery into a Tap Room! AND we want you to be part of it!

In November 2018 we bought a small brewery in Cape Town and in March of 2019 we started getting our beers into the market. It has been a process of learning the ropes both as a Craft Brewer and new Entrepreneur. None the less over the past nine months, with help from my brother-in-law Daniel, we have grown the business and brand and are selling 900 to 1000 liters of beer each month. We have 7 pubs on board and the demand is growing.

However, even with demand growing we have come to understand that since our capacity and volumes are restricted by our current facilities, we will not be able to maintain the business model as initially set out. The original business model called for growth in volumes to generate income and our capacity will run out before we achieve sustainability.

As a result, a new business plan has been designed. This was done via consultation with successful existing breweries who follow the same or similar approach. In a nutshell the plan is to expand our operations to include our own Brew Pub. This has always been a goal for the Brewery but it was a long term one that has now been brought forward.

In parallel with this fund raiser we are also offering you, our fan, follower, friend or person we still want to meet, the opportunity to invest directly in the Brewery by acquiring shares. to that end you can either donate here if you're not up for the commitment of shareholding or you can contact me directly for a prospectus and share application form.
