Hello everyone! First let me introduce my self. I am Rovil S. Catalo, living in the Philippines. I currently living with my live-in partner together with her brother because both of their parents is in heaven now. We live in a small house with three little rooms that our father bought for us last 7 years ago for me and my two siblings. For the past 4 years when my father lost his job and spent up all his savings, i am the one who is taking care of everything for my parents. From bills to everyday meal and basic needs. My mother has a underlying condition that she had for many years, resulting for having a maintenance medication.

I have a 6 years experience in a food industry and 2 years of those is as a head chef from 2 diferent korean restaurants including the one i opened recently.

For 4 years, we save money as much as we can to fulifill my dream of starting our own business.

Then the day came that we are able to open a small restaurant. It was a bit far from our hometown and we needed to move there together with some of my staff that is willing to live with us. It was the happiest day of our life. For me this is my last hope of giving my parents a comfortable life that they deserve. My wife supported me all the way until we are able to reach my dream. We spent up our entire saving for this day to happen. We're hoping that this will be our bread and butter.

We have a lot of customers and the crowd loves my own modified recipes. I told my self that this is it, this will help us on getting out of poverty and i started to dream of helping others once my business grew bigger and bigger.

Unfortunately, the pandemic has started to hit the country. I didn't expect it to be this worst that many businesses had to shut down including my newly opened restaurant.

From the beginning of march our customers is beginning to get fewer and fewer. Until last March 15, the government has started the quarantine and ordered the temporarily closure of all the restaurants and many other businesses.

Once again, there is nothing left on me. My wife and i got stucked in there for almost 5 months barely surviving for our foods, one by one we are selling all the equipment and the things i bought for the restaurant. We even sold our phone and almost all the kitchen equipment that i manage to buy for the business. Until we got nothing left to sell. For almost 4 months i cant find a job anywhere. Thankfully we are able to get a fund from the government on one of their program. We used it get back home. Until now, we are not yet fully paid on our bills that we left there at the north caloocan. This pandemic had taken everything from me. It crushed my dream and brought us on our knees.

51389530_1600775920840441_r.jpeg51389530_1600778978478006_r.jpegBut we did'nt lose hope, God will not give us a challenges that we cannot handle. My wife and i started selling online. I came up with an idea that almost new to the Filipino people. Then i made my own version of shawarma pizza and beef bulgogi pizza. It was a hit and the people loves it, the problem is i can only make a maximum of 15 pizzas everyday because i only doing it on our little house with a very small space. I can only cook one at a time because i am only cooking it on our single cooking stove.

I wrote here because i am hoping that someone will help me to upgrade my business by renting a small facility and buying some equipment i need to fasten and lighten my productivity. I am also planning on adding more on my menu list little by little.

I am very confident that my recipes and ideas will be known locally if given a chance. I just need a little help financially.

If you want to directly donate it to us, that would be much appreciated also.
