My name is Kay, I am trying to raise money for my sister, this is what she has written and how she feels.

I happen to be a transgender woman and I am registered blind. I have some sight but not much. I'm a big-hearted, happy, upbeat kinda girl but someth ing is troubling me deeply...
See most people think that the only surgery that transgender women require is all that "downstairs" stuff! Sadly that's often not the case. Facial-dysphoria is a condition now recognised by international medical organisans. It's an often debilitating conditio which effects general mental well-being and confidence. In fact, more than 50% of Trans-females rank FFS ABOVE Gender Reassignment Surgery! Why? Because the face is always visible! Make-up iz great, buf it doesn't work miracles!

This is a terrible psychological that has driven me to very dark times in my life but now I am trying to take positive action to overcome this condition. Sadly, the only way to treat it is with Facial Feminization Surgery. (FFFS). Put simply surgeons reshape the bone structure of the face to create a more natural feninine appearance. This is essential for confidence, happiness and over-all qualty of life for me! You may look at my video and think "she looks great!" Sadly, just telling me that doesn't work. If I do look great, it's probably the makeup! However, what I see in the mirror isn't what I feel inside. It 's still the old me. The pre-transition me. This causes depression and anxiety. It's not fun!

I spent 30 umhappy years as a male. I felt as if I'd been released from shackles when I began transition. I would finally be the REAL ME!... Then my sight began to decline very fast thanks to type-1 diabetes. So I now find myself registered blind with a £14,000 operation to fund! I'd love to work but opportumities are few and far between. Until I find work, I cannot fund my operation and psychologically every day is like mental torture!
I desperately want to complete my journey. So PLEASE help if you can. Even a few pounds, dollars or whatever your currency, helps. Don't be put off by the target, every little counts!

I have plans for the future and ultimately I'd love to be in a position to forge a career, normal life and also get even more active in the mental health, blind, cancer and childrens' charities I already support. I am passionate about helping others but I also know that I need to complete and recover from my surgeries first so I have the confidence and strength to do so.
So please find it in your heart to help, donate and share the link. Your help and donation will give ths opportunity to see not who I've become, but who I was meant to be.

Thank you,
