Hi my name is Rohit, I am from India In the past few months I came across more than 3 cases in a month which resulted in death of close friends and the only reason was that they could not afford the medical expenses for the treatment.

We would like to raise funds to provide medical health care to majority of women suffering in rural areas who cannot afford the expensive treatment and early detection and it should begin from providing awareness in coordination with team from India Against Cancer.

Its a ticking time tomb for those who do not have enough time and finances to afford the treatment as the average price for the Breast Cancer Surgery / Treatment from the 15 best corporate hospitals and 10 Top Oncosurgeons of India is minimum $ 4000.

We are not only aiming to raise maximum funds to help the women who cannot afford but we are also trying to create World Record for 1 million people wearing the T shirt with our slogan "FIGHT LIKE A GIRL" and we would like to do it on OCTOBER MONTH 2019 as its a breast cancer awareness month which will only send a message across the world that we are united towards this cause as this will be showcased at the end of the funding campaign.

we are aiming for $1 million dollars thats $50 dollar an average to raise the funds and the same will be utilized for seminars, hospital medical bills, breast cancer awareness etc.

we would require every small help we could get to achieve this target which lot of people regarded as impossible.

Cancer Statistics in India: situation is very grave.

For every 2 women newly diagnosed with breast cancer, one woman dies of it in India because the average cost of medical expenses is $4000 where a monthly income of average Indian living in rural areas is $50.00 a month.

· Every year, new cancer patients registered: Over 7 lakh

· Cancer-related deaths: 5,56,400

Deaths in the age group between 30-69 years

· Total: 3,95,400 (71% of all cancer related deaths)

· Men: 2,00,100

· Women: 1,95,300

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women in India and accounts for 27% of all cancers in women.

*The final prices offered to the patients is based on their medical reports and is dependent on the current medical condition of the patient, type of room, type of surgery, hospital brand and the surgeon's expertise.

Globocan 2017 data:

New cases registered: 1,84,937

Deaths: 81,218

The incidence rates in India begin to rise in the early thirties and peak at ages 50-64 years.

Overall, 1 in 28 women is likely to develop breast cancer during her lifetime.

In urban areas, 1 in 22 women develops breast cancer during her lifetime as compared to rural areas where 1 in 60 women develops breast cancer in her lifetime.

The exact cause of Breast Cancer is still unknown and there are no fixed causes for breast cancer. Myths in identifying the causes of breast cancer are more prevalent than the real cause. However, some of the causes that have been collectively associated with breast cancer are

Age: The chance of breast cancer depends on age, as the person gets older the chances of it are more.as the person gets older the chances of it are more.

Inheritance: Family history of close relative like mother, sister and daughter who has been diagnosed with breast cancer increases the risk factor.

Early menses or menopause: Early start onset of menses and early menopause are also associated with breast cancer.

Radioactivity: Exposure to radioactive rays is carcinogenic and increases the chances of breast cancer.

Hormone Replacement Therapy: Using hormone replacement therapy might also cause it.

Exposure to harmful chemicals: Working in a chemical factory that uses harmful chemicals like Organ chlorines.

Nullyparity or Late childbearing: Nullyparity or Late childbearing also appear to be a minor risk factor in the development of breast cancer.
