*Hope Springs Eternal*

Hello, thank you for reading.

I need some help to pay off a credit card balance which has gotten a little out of hand. I work full-time and have a young daughter so am unfortunately unable to work any further hours to earn an extra income.

I have created this campaign as a last and desperate measure as panic has started to set in and I'm very worried about this debt snowballing. Please don't imagine I am taking this lightly - I am thoroughly mortified by my irresponsible (and incredibly stupid) behaviour and this debt is not down to a flashy car or designer clothes - it's more a lack of the ability to say no to treats and outings (not overly spoiling - just normal family stuff)..

I have already taken drastic action to cut costs from my monthly outgoings while ensuring that my daughter's life is reasonably unaltered. If it was just me I would just keep my head down and keep paying this off for as long as it took but I feel such tremendous guilt when I look at her and feel that I'm not being much of a parent in terms of teaching her about responsibility and consequences. I also feel as though I'm being completely dishonest - my guilty conscience is working overtime.

This is the first time I have gotten into debt and am determined that it will be the last.
