Hope Home is an orphanage in Uganda that currently has 49 children in its care.
These children go hungry on a regular basis and lack even the least amount of medical care. Recently, a child became badly burned and went to hospital. Because the orphanage cannot pay for treatment, the child is just sitting there not healing from his wounds. He is at risk for infection, even death, if he doesnt get full treatment soon.
To feed these 49 children only 2 meals a day of low quality food, it costs about $750 per month! The director, Byarugaba, has come up with a plan to acquire more land and start a farm. This farm will be tended by the children themselves so it will be 100% self-sustaining. The barrier to this plan is the money needed to start.
"Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish, and he will eat for a lifetime." Byarugaba is trying to do exactly that by starting this farm and teaching the children how to work it!
The money raised for this orphanage will not only start their farm, but they will also be able to afford beds, mattresses, blankets, and clothes!
Please help in any way you can. Money to help these children and get them started on their farm would be amazing, but prayer is also needed. They are children created by God and have the hope given to them by Him!
