Dear Friends,

Greetings in the name of our Lord!

It has been six years since I was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease Stage 5, it was a sudden event that change my perspective in life. At first, I was not able to absorb everything. But through the help of my loved ones, I was able to cope up my daily struggle as a hemodialysis patient. It was not that easy, lot of changes have occurred, not just physically, but mentally and all aspect as well. Financially drained also as condition of a dialysis patient is unpredictable, one moment you are okay, the next thing you are in Emergency room in the hospital due to some complications, plus the mere fact that dialysis patient have a maintenance medicines including injections after dialysis session which is very important to maintain normal hemoglobin rate. All this, is a struggle..not just on weekly basis, but on daily basis as a dialysis patient. Although, we have Government aid, like PCSO and DSWD and some NGOs, still not enough to cover our medical expenses. Kidney Patient in the country is sprouting like mushrooms, thus lots of budget for medical assistance was adjusted to accommodate all requesting for medical assistance. My only remedy to be back to normal health is KIDNEY TRANSPLANT which luckily, my younger volunteered as my Kidney Donor. This is our third and last try to process and hoping for a success. At first, since we applied as an Indigent patient, we failed the social service interview, my kidney donor was a bit nervous at that time and it seems that he was not ready yet. Second try, we are ready to begin our Work up Laboratories in preparation for the operation when I was confined for 21 days due to Pneumonia. NOW, finally, after coping up physically, I am ready again, WE are ready again but financially lack of fund for obvious reason. I am on 3x hemodialysis every week and have to maintain normal hemoglobin count and correct some abnormalities too like IPTH, Potassium and Calcium.

Friends, I am knocking in your generous heart, If you have spare that you can share, that will be a big help on my fundraising campaign. Any form of help is highly appreciated. I know, I wont be able to pay it back for now, but I am looking to pay it Forward in time I am capable already.

And I wanna thank you for everyone who lend a hand, push me and encourage me as well..for those who Prayed and supported me unconditionally, Thank you so much for giving this Single Mom the will and courage to pursue my ultimate prayer. May God Bless all of You!

Sincerely,

Glenda

Update posted by Glenda Jackson at 02:59 am

As I am preparing to start our Work Up laboratories for Kidney Transplant, my IPTH result is high, and thus I needed to correct including my hemoglobin counts... it will take months, or probably 2 to 3 more to normalize everything but I am not losing hope..that this too shall. . . . .
