Sammy is a little cat that was fostered and funded by Gloria Rose and offered for adoption through a local rescue organization. The rescue organization offered Sammy for adoption at Petsmart and he was soon adopted along with his fur momma. While at petsmart Sammy started having issues with eating. After his adoption Sammy continued to have issues with eating. It was thought that he was just stressed. Soon though, his weight loss was visibly noticeable. Sammy was returned to his foster mom Gloria Rose who assumed the responsibility for his care and vetting to get him well.
Sammy was given antibiotics, steroids, sub Q fluids but continued to decline. His vet suggested that it would be necessary to do surgery to check out an abdominal mass and to also collect tissue as he feared lymphoma. Good news is that today, 4-26-16 the biopsy results were negative for lymphoma. Sammy's vet is thinking his issue is a systemic fungal infection, secondary bacterial infection.
Sammy was just sent home with Gloria Rose to continue his medical care. Here is the issue. while Gloria has a big heart and unlimited love and devotion she has serious financial issues and must ask for help in paying Sammy's bill at the vet.
If you can find it in your heart to help a fellow rescuer with her needs and Sammy's needs can you please make a donation to our campaign. I will post updates and I will be responsible for making sure that the funds go the vet and that the bill is paid.
We appreciate your help from the bottom of our hearts,
Gloria Rose and Sammy
