Hope For Russ

Welcome!!

       This is a page supporting our baby Russ. On February 13th, 2013, Russ was diagnosed with leukemia at only 18 months old. I'm sure you can only imagine our heartbrake. Since, Russ has aged to 26 months. His favorite color is red, and he loves wearing his Thomas The Train overalls with his red shirt to match. His favorite food is spaghetti, and he wants to grow up to be a voulenteer firefighter like his dad, Brad. He is fighting along, but as always some days are better than others. He is deep into Chemotherapy and Radiation, and he usually gets really sick after the radiation. He has learned to fight with all of his strength, and hopes to grow big and strong one day. He also knows that now he is bed bound, but one day he will be able to run, and play, and scream with the other children his age. He looks forward to that day, and even we do, when he can be with kids his age and not just us. 

       Russ has been about as happy as a child could be with an illness like the one that he is suffering through. Russ has always wanted to go to the Mall of America, in Minnesota, but unfortunately we have not been financially stable enough to do so. In fact, as of now, it is quite the task to put food on our dinner table. We hope this struggle will end soon.

       This money that we raise will help support our family, not only with the many bills and food, but with other necessities such as toiletries and clothing. If there is some left over, or we exceed our goal, we might take the trip Russ has dreamed about for a long time now, to the Mall of America! If you can put in a bit, even a small bit will do, our family would be exceedingly grateful. Every little bit counts for something, and will be put to good use.
