Hope For Don

Our Mission

We are fundraising for a very close friend of ours who was recently diagnosed with testicular cancer. Don is a hardworking, devoted father of four children, a loving husband to his wife Cari and the sole income provider for the family.

An Unfortunate Decision

Long before Don's cancer diagnose, Don cancelled his health insurance when he could no longer afford the $1,300 a month payment. In this economy, we are all faced with lowering our monthly expenses in order to afford the rising costs of fuel, food and housing. It was a risk Don was forced to take when his monthly income decreased due to the slow economy.

Chemotherapy Put on Hold

After surgery was performed to remove one testes, Medicaid terminated Don's medical coverage. A recent examination uncovered there is alarming concern that cancer is spreading to Don's lymph nodes. Because of the decision made by Medicaid to terminate medical coverage, necessary chemotherapy and future treatment has been put on hold, another devastating blow.

Time is Running Out

Time is of the essense, and Don is running out of options. We are asking for your help so that Don can begin his chemotherapy as soon as possible. Any donation, no matter how large or small is not only greatly appreciated, but urgently needed. Please keep in mind that during Don's five weeks of chemotherapy, he will not be earning any income. We need to reach out and help this family during their time of need, they have no other place to turn to.
