My friend Yvette has been diagnosed back in 2008 with Aplastic Anemia which is a rare disease in which the bone marrow and the hematopoietic stem cells that reside there are damaged. This causes a deficiency of all three blood cell types (pancytopenia): red blood cells (anemia), white blood cells (leukopenia), and platelets (thrombocytopenia). She has never fully recovered her blood counts since, especially her hemoglobin counts, making her tired all the time. But in spite of it all she managed to be always positive and inspire lives of other people. She says it makes her happy and grateful. Nearly reaching her 44th year of life she received what she calls a blessing. A new baby is on it's way! But this also gives worries of a high-risk pregnancy especially with her blood condition and not to mention, unexpected costs on all the medical attention she and her baby needs. She is now on her 8th week of pregnancy. As friends we would like to give her a ray of hope for a normal and safe pregnancy and give back all or more of the positivities she has shared to others. We are reaching out to you if you could support our fundraising for Yvette by making a donation to cover for her medical expenses. We would greatly appreciate it. We know that money can be tight, so please know that even a small donation helps us get closer to our goal! Let us know if you have any questions and we'll be happy to answer them.
