Hoofcare for RESCUED horses

Hi  this is Old Friends Canada, we are a registered not-for-profit horse rescue located in Lake Country BC all our horse care is funded by donation, through event hosting and through volunteers man hours.

every six to eight weeks our rescued horses and ponies require the attentions of a farrier, to trim their hooves  - several of our rescues are particularly good examples of 'bad feet' 

meet Pirate he has a very extreme club foot . He was bred for the track but didnt race due to his foot. His name proper name is 'make'em laugh'   which he does every day

this is Delia  who has one good foot  and three, well! not so good feet she often has absessing and requires veterinary care aswell as her regular hoofcare. Delia wears sneakers on her front feet for most of the year

they all have their own stories  to share and all need their hooves to have good regular trimming, a farrier treatment here costs $60 so for one horse or tiny pony this is approx this is $510  and currently we have six rescue horses  so thats a wopping $3060 yearly sum.
