Homeschool Mama’s walk the Portland to Coast Race

     We are a group of women, all are homeschooling moms who have been spending a year or more getting into better health through healthier living and fitness lifestyles.  We all have a desire to do something that seems pretty wild to us, which is to walk from Portland, OR to the beach.  Every year there is a race to raise money for the Providence Cancer Center, and this race is set up as a relay race for teams to take turns walking different legs all the way to Seaside, OR. 

     We need help raising funds, we have to raise our initial registration fee of around $1150 by October 5th!  We're also going to need money as we go forward to pay for food during the race, gas for the vans that will carry team members between legs, housing at the end of the race for some rest, and of course matching t-shirts.  ;) 

     Right now, our most imperative need is the registration fee.  If you could help us raise the amount we need, we will all be most grateful.  Almost all the moms who will be walking have single income households. This is something that we'd like to do for ourselves, and for raising the money for the Cancer Center at Providence.
