Homeless Today, Part of the Art of Living Tomorrow

My name is Jorge Manuel Madureira Jaloto. I was born in Mozambique, on November 25^th 1967, at 03:15 am. In 2008, I decided to shape a life away from the materialism that surrounded me. I left my country and traveled to Brazil looking for the land and the pioneers indispensable to build the balanced and healthy society in which I believe. It did not go as I intended. I returned with nothing of material value, but with much valuable learning. Today, almost two years after my return, I still endeavor to give the world my contribution and continue to look for a way to be part of a human movement of "spiritual poor", who aspire to reach This Other Wealth in perfect harmony with Nature. To achieve this goal, I need funds to learn from Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, whose knowledge has always inspired me, namely through the courses of his Art of Living Foundation. Buy enrolling in the Happiness Program in Portugal and in the Silence Course in Germany, I could do a volunteer program in Germany, serving in silence, to transform myself to better serve the world. To be able to benefit from this fundamental learning, I will need 700 euros.

Dear Ma'am:

(...) At the risk of not being polite, I must tell you that I have no family, or I would rather say that is not of my blood, which I respect a lot. But no more than poor families than those found on the street, for example, the homeless! In fact, this is the position in which I am today. On September 25th, 2017 I’m living as a homeless person. I have a clean body that I take care of and respect. So, am I going to be crazy? - Not at all. I believe that I only follow the path of the Earth's energy, although the last years have indeed been materially difficult… Explaining: - In 2008, more than seven years ago, I dreamt of a 'family' where I could plant and take care of the Earth, and live together with likewise people. I boarded a ship, and went to a remote village in Brazil, called 'Morro Grande' ... I acquired the responsibility of a quota of a rural condominium (I do not say the right of possession, because I abhor possession whatever)in the State of Minas Gerais, in Itamonte, where I lived for more than 7 years and returned with great sadness to Europe again from where I had wanted 7 years before, no longer to return; Explaining again:

- In December 2008, life took me to Brazil concretely for Minas Gerais http://viversimples.org/index_en.htmlan Eco-village in formation, but with a lot of pioneering work ahead, which most of all the founders did not "reside" and did not start with the necessary initial effort for the future of it. I left Portugal with the intention of "looking for Prof. Agostinho da Silva, I say, looking for what he has been doing for 25 years in Brazil, and to meet the humblest people of the country from whom he learned to "be Portuguese on the margins of Portuguese culture"(!)

So ... since 15 Dec 2008 when I arrived at Eco-Vila until 23 Feb 2016 it was 7.2 years to plant: roots (Mandioca, Inhame, Sugar Cane, etc) and fruit trees (Avocado, Banana, Persimmon, Pear, Peach, etc)...Time to live (planting) and with the help of some rural residents, who perfectly serve to evaluate and reinforce the spirit (to follow). However the same difficult life made me meet a gentleman (Marc Boehm),

a "hidden genius" who paid me the return trip to Portugal, after the time of a hard life in the Minas Gerais of Brazil, indeed my "VERA CRUZ" (Real ‘Cross’), (Vera Cruz was the former name of Brazil) that is, life demanded of my health the effort in planting many trees, which is always demanded of the physical body, but this experience also led me to create original ideas for the future, on the question that life can be gratuitous, with the necessary effort of course but without the accumulation of the possession of things and people (+/- that);

Anyway... I left BRAZIL, Rio de Janeiro on the 23rd of April16 and returned to Portugal with no money so I'm still on ‘the ocean of life’, with the grace that makes me live and create results of ideas of a high cost to whom, by right, may receive them... Ultimately I am always learning to be a living servant of the art of living for others… my strength is the wise Dito Francisco, a old miner man who used to tell me “George, one day you´ll arrive there” - Goddess, if Dito believes in this way, I know that... Brotherwood in earth is alive!»

Friend Marc Boehm who paid me the return trip to Europe and then brought me to Lisbon.

Here are Jairo and Elisandra, and Mr.Fransisco Inacio, Jairo's grandfather and patriarch of the village of Morro Grande. The man who always reminds me of my long-lost grandfather from Portugal. It was this couple from the village of Morro Grande, to whom I made a donation of space, before returning to Portugal. Their daughter Tayla was about to be born!

(...) Anyway... Some pieces of a story, still recent. And why is this?

Perhaps because of the emotion in which I find myself writing to you: - IT'S SIMPLE: To take the Sudarshan Kriya course in Lisbon, Portugal, and then do the Seva Service at https://www.artofliving.org/badantogast/volunteer-... in Germany.

Together these trainings will cost me around 600 euros. Then I´ll live with them.

After all, I am folowing the Bernardo de Quintaval way and his minor friends, and asking to the help of those who can understand the farmer, that is, that person who lives, or better, seeks to live along with the art of impoverishing by the grace of planting trees together of fruits and real cares for the future of more... It is very difficult to build a base for this culture that I believe is a friend of life, but we have to start with ourselves. And for me it is very important to live working with the soil and connected with others alike.

Note 2: “FRIENDS”, means to me, not internet talking, but working together in environmental basis and with personal touch, daily, inside each ones radius, with the small ant, cow, fish, dog, man or trees, again inside our space-time.

In general my way of conversation is “yes, is yes”, and “no, means no”. - Now I´m asking a help from you, for 2 courses and a travel by plane to Germany, but we won´t be friends until we don´t face reality as “brothers in arms”, using the Dire Straits echo… that means, be together in hard times and good ones.

Now with you I have an opportunity to go until an organization https://www.artofliving.org/badantogast I believe it will transform my life for serving universes which has being my way since I was a child, and now I need to do my physical test again doing the volunteer time there.

Finally to say I believe in work daily in happiness meaning “Do your job with heart, work free of charge, Serve trees, plants and animals, so I am going this practice I believe!
