Campaign Story
My name is Amanda I am a mother to two very special boys with autism (one with intractable epilepsy) seeking help in any way you are able. I have an eviction for accrued past due rent, driving a car with a spare tire, uninspected, unsafe, always on E and barely any food to feed my kids.
At this time the only income we have is the boys monthly SSI which is $756 each per month. I was very confident that I could pay my very reasonable rent as I applied for SSDI for myself in August as I am diagnosed with severe Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Depression and ADD. I have been being seen by a therapist twice monthly and regular pcp monthly for my own personal healthcare. In December I received a denial letter from both SSDI and SSI which was shocking to me as I was very honest with all portions of the application process and always try to stay in faith that God will provide what we need.I am now waiting for a Fair Hearing.
This is causing me an enormous amount of stress and anxiety not to mention a lot of time that I do not have. Ive been ready to "throw in the towel " so to speak but I can't. My boys are my everything. Everyday they wake up with smiles despite the world of chaos we live in. They havent given up and neither will I. My boys are blessings from heaven who inspire me, they are my HEROES. At this point all I can do is seek legal counsel, pray and stay in FAITH. Thank you for your time, generosity, prayers and consideration.
with sincerest gratitude
Amanda. Austin and Aiden
