Homeless not Hopeless

I aim to raise money for Amazing Graze

Amazing Graze is a Christian organisation which helps the homeless and/or unemployed by giving them free food and support during difficult times. There is also various volunteering opportunities for people who are looking to gain work experience. They also offer a shoulder to cry on whenever you are in need.

This money will support struggling individuals and families in Blackpool by providing them with a warm meal in their community café, a listening ear with the addition of linking people up with services to meet their needs and providing warmth for the evening and the provision of warm clothing.

I have registered to complete the Grand Canyon challenge in May 2017 which is sponsored by Amazing Graze with my friend Lisa Prescott (raising money for Calico) so I aim to raise a minimum of £4000 (but hopefully go above and beyond this)

We shall be arranging a number of fundraising events and completing various challenges in the build up to our final challenge of the Grand Canyon trek where we will spend 5 days trekking approx. 50 miles to raise money for our chosen charities.

Although this is a massive personal goal our main focus is to raise awareness of the homeless and housing issues that Blackpool faces and provide hope a home by raising money for services that our supporting vulnerable people.
