HomecookedLOVE - a project that wants to provide a warm home cooked meal to those struggling in their life whether financially or personally. Food is LOVE.

This page is purely for those who wish to donate whatever they want to, to the project

Although we love donations of food towards the Wednesday Dish, we also need petrol to cover deliveries, cooking equipment, catering supplies and other such important outgoings so the project can stay in place. Having said that, please only donate with the attitude that you 'get to give' and not that you feel you should or have to.

Personally, Homecooked LOVE will provide this service and fund the project as much as it is, but it may not reach as many people - so if you do decide to help then great, if not, well that's great too!

So, here's a little bit of information on what we are doing, why it is here and who we help!

Why does this exist?

Because the simple act of being cooked for is not only like a great big hug, but it's a sign of love and can make someone feel less alone, no longer forgotten or rejected.   It's about time we became a community again, helped one another in times of crisis, offered with no judgment and with unconditional love.

What is Home Cooked LOVE?

We are offering a FREE Home cooked Meal, to be available every Wednesday (or other arranged day) for anyone* who might be struggling with:

  • Living on benefits at this time and finding it hard to manage
  • Those not able to get a referral by a local authority or likewise, but still struggling to find money to eat
  • Those who work hard all week and unable to find the money to cook a meal
  • Those who would like to feel like they matter, when everything feels like it’s gone wrong
  • Those struggling to keep the fridge stocked up, due to unforeseen personal circumstances
  • And any other reasons, we are open to all!

What about the meals?

We are located in Fareham and cover area's such as Gosport and all inbetween! The meals will be simple and supplied on a budget (i.e. Cottage Pie, Shepherd Pie, bangers & Mash, Pasta Bakes) and can be picked up or I can drop off if local.

Is this you or someone you may know?

Then please do contact me. I am just a normal girl who has been through personal struggles, so please don't be embarrassed, ashamed or scared to get in touch – I know exactly what it feels like.

You can join our group on Facebook called Home Cooked LOVE or you can email me at [email protected]

Anyway, thank you for taking the time to read this and we hope to hear from you soon. Homecooked LOVE x

As you may or may not be aware, we've been doing some baking over the past Valentines Day - a special something for those who probably didn't do much celebrating!  So us at Homecooked Love thought we'd extend more love by cooking 27 cupcakes and delivering them on Saturday 14th!

Current Amount in FUND

Update posted by Paula Lawes at 12:15 pm

We currently have £47.76 in the bank which is just great!  It's more than enough for the petrol for this week's delivery and extra bits to buy for this week's meal (Tuna Pasta Bake) - should still have plenty left over!   Many thanks to Vince who donated £25 off
