Thank You for your contributions. May you be the recipient of a stranger’s kindness.

Jeanne Larrivee passed away December 14, 2015. When we set up this fund, it was with the intention to provide a nurse to help her prepare meals because she felt too weak to do it herself. Little did I know the crucial role these funds would become, as by the time she got out of the hospital for the 3rd time, she was home with hospice. Because of your generosity, we were able to hire Heather, in incredible nurse with a huge heart and an even bigger laugh, who bonded with my mother immediately. Heather was by my mother's side at least 2 full days a week, often more. She fed mom, gave massages, manicures and pedicures, sat with her, crushed ice for her, read to her, and of course many other nursely duties. We could not have done this with out your support, love and generosity. Believe that when you pay it forward, it is a beautiful thing that does not go unnoticed. May someone in your lives, possibly a complete stranger, pay it forward to you. Because "Thank you" does not seem to convey my feelings enough, may I say Bless You.

My family and I are beyond grateful for the contributions and well wishes coming in from all over the nation. Mom's current stay in the hospital is confirmation that she needs to have someone at home to prepare meals for her. Your show of support is proof that angels are among us.

Ironically, one day after posting my mom's fundraising event for a home health care aide, she went back into the hospital today due to dehydration and anemia. She is in Glens Falls Hospital for the third time since July. She has turned to crowdfunding in the hopes of hiring a home health care aid to do grocery shopping and to prepare healthy meals. The chemo and radiation is taking a toll on her, as is expected, and she is often too sick and in too much pain and discomfort to take care of herself.

You cared for us mom all of our lives. You were there when things got bad...laughed with us when things were good. You said to me when we went to see you that "Your kids shouldn't be taking care of you...your supposed to them." Mom you did take care of us. From the moment we first spit up our strained peas till now. 57 years. Now its time we returned that blessing to you:) You also taught us to be generous and care for others. For once Im trying to do as you say:) Love you with all my heart, Steve

From E.A.: My grandma is one of the strongest, most loving people I know. It breaks my heart that I can’t be up in NY to help her get through this. She was there to help raise me for years when my parents divorced and has helped so many people. She needs the help now and it would mean the world to me if anyone could help her now too.
