Donate to build a home for lone IDF soldiers in Zoharim Village in Israel.
Zoharim Village provides a safe home and stable working environment for at-risk boys. In most cases, traditional educational systems have failed students who come from troubled homes, because they have not been able to provide the specialized support and encouragement these at-risk students need to succeed in life. It has already received tremendous support from Knesset members and government officials who have visited the village.
The boys in Zoharim go on and enlist in the IDF, most of them in elite units. many of them don't have a home to go back to on weekends and army leaves, so they come back to the village, which is currently to equipped to accommodate them.
we are currently building a house for them in the village.
The House will be one of 2 houses built in the village (the second house was funded by Israeli donors).
As last summer’s 67 military deaths demonstrated, Israel’s soldiers are constantly required to put their lives on the line defending Israel and the Village provides a nurturing environment for these lone soldiers.
It is envisaged that Zoharim Alumni House will provide emotional support, food and home comforts for at least 60 homeless soldiers in the next couple of years.
Any additional fund we are able to raise will go towards buying better equipment and appliances, as well as to enlarge the front yard and improve the drive way and the trails around the house.
