Hello friends, family and anyone whom this might reach. My name is Talitha Spaulding, I'm 21 years old and have been living in Bariloche Argentina for the past 15 years. My fiancé, Francisco and I are having our first baby! We are so excited, but we have a major dilemma regarding vaccination at birth as I will explain:

First of all, since none of my four siblings or I have ever been vaccinated and we all had much healthier immune systems than the other children around us growing up, I started researching vaccinations so that I could decide for my child.

Secondly, in my research I found that vaccines are not nearly as safe as people are led to believe. See this website: 'National Vaccine Information Center' at https://www.nvic.org/vaccines-and-diseases/Vaccina...

And then recently, a lady friend who is a registered nurse here, recounted that just last month a newborn baby died from the very first vaccine that is given to babies. She said that the true cause of the baby's death was withheld from the parents. This news was heartbreaking to me as an expecting mother, and has reinforced my decision to try as hard as I can not to have my baby vaccinated at birth.

Unfortunately, Argentina doesn't provide for the parents' right to 'informed consent:' they immediately vaccinate all babies born in the hospital! Therefore, I cannot in clear conscience allow my child to be vaccinated in the hospital, suffer the side affects and possibly even die.

The ONLY way around it that I could find is to have a Home Birth and I finally found an experienced mid-wife and her team who do not vaccinate, the only one in this area. However, they are very expensive and we are struggling financially in spite of all our attempts to raise the money.

Our baby is due in less than two months. I do part-time babysitting and I sell baked goods, unfortunately there is a shortage of jobs because of covid 19, and many people are selling food so there is a lot of competition and our sales are extremely low.

That is why we are asking for help. I know that these are hard times for everyone. Here 1 U.S. dollar is worth 80 Argentine pesos, so even small contributions would help us tremendously! All donations will go directly to the mid-wife and homebirth expenses. If the donations exceed what we need for the home-birth we will re-donate it to other families we know that need diapers, etc. We thank you for reading and considering helping us, every little bit counts.

May God bless you!

  • For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Psalm 139:13-14
