Ghana Volunteering 2016 – Hollie and Julia

This July, Myself and my friend Julia will be going to Ghana to volunteer in the Kumasi Children’s Home for two weeks. We are both very passionate about helping those who aren’t as fortunate as ourselves and therefore we are very excited for this amazing but challenging opportunity. However, for this amazing trip to be put into action we need to raise around £2,500 to cover the costs of our flights, vaccinations, visa’s, accommodation and travel expenses etc. as well as some supplies for the children’s home, we therefore need the help and support from all of our friends and family to help us raise this money, any donations will be greatly appreciated.

The children in the home will have their food and accommodation provided for them, but with limited staff resources, it is individual attention that the little ones crave so much. Providing the children with the essential skills in life will help them on their way to successful futures free from poverty and filled with the same opportunities as others.

Whilst we are working at the home we will work alongside local staff to assist with teaching the children, general childcare and the daily operational running of the orphanage.
