Holistic Wellness for the Aged

Family Tree Initiative is an organization that has been serving various communities for more than 16 years. It has touched the lives of community members in various ways. Currently, we are targeting the aged, as they are one of the most vulnerable groups during these Covid-19 times. Our goal is to serve them holistically, by meeting their various needs.

• Clothing like Warm sweaters, pairs of sock, boxers etc.
• Food stuffs e.g Flour, Njahi, Beans, Pumpkins, Fruits, Cooking oil etc.
• Dewormers, multivitamins, linaments and other essential Personal items

We also have a medical team that will cater to their diverse medical issues and forward any serious cases to relevant medical facilities. We have already started an initiative in Kiambu County. For instance, on 25^th April 2021,we had an outreach activity at Nguthuru Secondary School, where there was a turn up of about 200 elderly people who are 75 years or more. However, there is more demand than we can meet from a financial perspective.

We are, therefore, calling upon you to partner with us, as your contribution will help us meet the needs of one more member of the targeted community (75 years and above).

Our next activity, which will be held on 5th June, 2021, will target men in this age-group since we realized that they did not turn up in the expected numbers in our last outreach. We are positive that if the focus is on them, they will be more responsive.
