Holiday food for The Open Door shelter

The Open Door is a community shelterj in Junction City, KS that helps families with less than adequate housing situations. It is also the location of the Geary County food bank. I plan to take the money that is raised to help stock the bare shelves of the food bank and to buy some needed items for the families that are temporarily housed there, especially during the winter months, like coats and hats. This isn't just a holiday or Christmas thing to do my good deed for the year. I will be doing this throughout the year no matter how successful this attempt at raising money is. Every little bit helps and I think it's important to help out the community you live in. I believe you will repaid in full on the back end when you give to the less fortunate. Proverbs 19:17 Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed.
