Luca Antifora was a rising star in Vodafone Luxembourg, when he moved with his young family to Qatar to head up Vodafone’s Supply Chain team. A very keen and competitive cyclist, Luca quickly joined a cycling club. Tragically one day, whilst on a ride, Luca had a life threatening accident which left him paralysed from his waist down.

After months of hard work and perseverance during his stay at a rehabilitation centre in Germany, Luca returned to Luxembourg and was able to begin to rebuild his life. He still has a passion for sport and will enter an Iron Man competition next year! Being the strong and inspirational person he is, he is determined to walk again.

Inspired by Luca’s strength and determination, his colleague in Luxembourg have come together and launched a fundraising campaign to purchase him an ExoSkeleton. This modern technology will allow him to walk again.

On 8 December, a group of 30 colleagues will embark on a 5 day team relay walk covering the 600km from Luxembourg to London
