This stray dog stays at my husband's shipyard. When she was out running one night, she got hit by a truck. Unfortunately, the only witness to the accident was on board a bus and could not make out the license plate number in order to lodge a police report.

She was by then dragging her hind legs (one of them was at a really awkward angle) around and refused to eat anything. My husband and I rushed her to the vet to get her x-rays and blood work done. The results:

- shattered left Tibia

- broken pelvic

- broken rib

- possible internal bleeding

- possible lung infection

- low white and red blood cells

The vet suggested seeing a specialist which might amount up to SGD$8,000. Alternatively, that vet can do the surgery which might amount up to $3,000 but with slightly less than ideal results. If we decide not to go ahead with surgery, we might have to euthanize her as she will be in immense pain for the rest of her life. She is currently in the hospital on heavy painkillers and an IV drip.

This dog has been running around the shipyard since young, and is very well behaved. She is possibly one of the happiest dogs with her floppy ears. It pains our hearts to hear her screaming in pain when the vet tried to cast her.

So basically I am asking all my family, my friends and any animal lovers out there, if you can please help me raise some money for the surgery, since this stray is a very young dog (about a year old). Every cent counts, any small change will greatly be appreciated.
