I'm donating to this campaign to be one of the first to have a ceramic memorial plaque and to honor my father. He was a remarkable man. A true champion of women's well-being and equality (he had 6 daughters). He said these are not women's issues but everyone's issues because they impact us all. I want to tell the story about the zippers. He could fix any zipper, and there were a lot of them. There were broken zippers on coats, pants, skirts, costumes, snow boots, knee boots and ankle boots (x's 6 girls + Mom). And then, there was Murphy (Murphy's Law). He constantly prepared us all for problems that would inevitably get in the way of our plans or goals. Just stand back, assess the situation, fix the problem or do a work-around, and continue on he'd say. But never give up. He died suddenly and we were not prepared for that. We still have very heavy hearts but we will continue on. There are his daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren + Mom. And we will all contribute our memories to make up his story on the memorial plaque. And now they will all be permanently preserved and accessed by everyone and for generations to come. This will make me a proud daughter to be able to honor him with this plaque. Thank you for this opportunity to share his story in this creative new way. Margaret A. Peterson M.D

History to share was a great idea for others "till my dad suddenly passed away" we were in shock and despair at this very unexpected event! So a great idea, then became very important to our family. Something that could be there for my 13 nieces and nephews AND now its an opportunity for the generations to come will be able to see who and what we came from and how we are connected. Its now my role to make sure my fathers memory is there for all to see "love you Simos "
