His Story: Good News Musical

The world-view today is one of despair, fear, anxiety because they believe this world is all there is, and everything is by chance. People have lost a sense of who they are, what they are made for, and that they have a purpose. Help us spread a world-view of hope, joy, and anticipation of what is to come after this world! We all need to know that there is more to our existence than just what we see here. We are a non-profit corporation. Help us change people's world-view by showing them that God loves us so much that He sent His Son to give us a chance to live for what we were made for, relationship with Him forever! I have wondered about how to tell the good news in today's world where people no longer recognize sin. They do not see a need for salvation because they don't recognize they are living in bondage. Bondage to things, to the world, to Death, and to Sin. When I heard this story of the good news explained as freedom from bondage, freedom from Powers that we cannot overcome, freedom TO a relationship with God which we rebelled against, this made me know how to tell the story. This expression of song is the way God was asking me to tell His story. A medium that is engaging and memorable, where the music replays in your brain over and over. We have uploaded a piano rendition demo of one of the songs (God Became Man Piano Demo) to let you hear some of what we are developing. Of course when we go into production, then songs will be played with a full orchestra. Our initial funding goal for this stage is $60,000 for the first 10 songs and marketing.

This is the Good News! Our goal is to create a contemporary musical to tell the story of creation and salvation in a modern and timeless way. Giving our world the big picture of salvation through a medium that is retained in the memory. This is not another rendition of Jesus' life. This is the story of salvation, told as a story but in song;

• Creation - how we know we have a good and loving God
• Man's rebellion - how we sold ourselves into slavery to evil and cut ourselves off from God's life.
• God's response - the heart of the loving Father and the restoration gained by Jesus.

We are looking for funding to begin the process of composing the songs, then marketing, then production, and finally to establish the musical score and screenplay. Our fist step is working with composer, Robert Vanover, to compose a Cantata of 10 songs that can be sung by choirs. If we are blessed with enough funding, we will expand this to additional songs that tell more of the story. We anticipate the final production will require $4M - $5M, but we want to take this in stages, and everyone who donates and provide us your email address will be kept up to date and we will provide samples of the songs as they are produced.
