Hip Replacement Surgery

Hi! I am Rozelle Ariola. I am diagnosed with Lupus Nephritis since November 2016. Because of that I have to stop working to recuperate. The doctors gave me prescription to control my Lupus. One of my medicines is steroids. I didn't know that it can affect my bones. There was a time that it hurts so much when I try to walk. I had physical therapy but it only help a little to ease the pain when I walk.

I went to an orthopedic doctor, after looking at my x-ray he told me I have Avascular Necrosis because of the steroids that I took for more than 2 years.

Right now my right leg look shorter than my left. My bones are not aligned and I cannot walk properly. There were times that my bones hurt and I cannot sleep. The first doctor I went to told us that there's no cure for Avascular Necrosis. We tried for second opinion and the doctor said I could go for Hip Replacement if I want to walk again. Finally, I found hope to get my life back. I found hope that I can walk again and live a normal life. And I am holding on to my dreams again because I still have hope.

I am here now because I don't have work, I can't pay for my surgery. We ask for the government's support for my surgery but they will not shoulder some expenses. My family, they are still paying for our loans from my previous hospitalizations and medicines.

My goal is to have my operation this year. I hope you can help me to walk again and make all my dreams come true. Thank you so much for reading my story.
