HIP HOP for the COMMUNITY!

At HollyWood Productions & Promotions we strive to look at the bigger picture. To make a brighter future for our community and showing our community that Hip Hop music can have a positive impact on it.

Our Mission: “To become successful in this industry, while helping the community and helping others to become successful as well.”

Last year we were able to put together two successful live Hip Hop events that had a great positive impact on our community. The first “Hip Hop for Kids Benefit Show” in which we were able to raise and donate $700 to the Seattle Children’s Hospital. The second “Our Talented Youth Showcase: Cocoon House Benefit Show” in which were able to collect and donate several backpacks to the youth at Cocoon House Teen Homeless Shelter. These events also gave some great local talent their first shots at live performances and/or headlining spots.

I, Sheena Wood AKA Holly Wood: Owner/Founder of HollyWood Productions & Promotions, I have big goals and dreams for 2014.

First we want to put together at least 6 benefits shows for different local charities/causes. Those shows can be seen at: http://hwproductionspromotions.com/what-we-do.html

Second we want these shows to be bigger and better, so that we are able to raise a much larger amount to donate to those charities/causes.

Third we want to utilize local talent in these shows, in an effort to boost our local scene and show our community that these local artists aren’t just about violence and drugs and that they have talent and a love for our community that is unmatched.

I have to come to the realization that I can no longer do this alone. If I want to continue to be able to fund these events that I need to reach out to the same community that I work so hard to help and ask for their help. I have careful calculated the costs for promotional materials, advertisement, services required, etc. that are required in order to reach our goals for 2014.

What we ask is that you the community give what you are able to help us reach our funding goal. Any donations received will be directly utilized to reach those goals. And any amount you can give will help and will be greatly appreciated. Donations of just $1 are just as appreciated as donations that are $100+. Like I previously stated ANYTHING you can give will help.
