...Hikoi for Justice... April 6th - April 13th 2018...

Please help us on our march to Parliament to raise awareness and to demand the changes necessary to the current system that claims to protect us.

We want parental rights, lawful investigations, evidence of neglect BEFORE removal, whanau support services, lawyers that actually do their jobs, a corruption free family court, justice for those wronged while within the system, abusers held accountable for their actions, and a just system that is actually designed to protect and support parents and their children.

We are currently working on submissions due in February to make the necessary changes to the current legislation that allows the unethical and unlawful destruction of our families.

We march to reunite children with their fathers, mothers, siblings, grandparents, and their Whakapapa for we are all Tangata whenua of this earth and the time to unite and stand up is now.

There are Pre-Hikoi events happening at Waitangi over the 3rd - 7th of February where there will be guest speakers such as Paora Joass Moyle, Marama Fox, and Miriam Clements amongst others, and we hope to be able to hire a marquee for this event so that we are able to do more fundraising in the form or raffles and sausage sizzles etc specifically also for the Hikoi for Justice April 6th - 13th. It is my hope that a portion of the funds from HERE at Go Get Funding, can help us with that as well as being utilised for travel expenses. At my last instruction it was $1700 for the marquee. I am still in shock and awe, as I think I took up the wrong line of work and should be hiring out marquees lol.

Anyway...

A PEACEFUL march has been arranged to navigate the north Island from Whangarei to Parliament and similarly from Invercargill to make these silent tears of sufferring be heard by those sworn to uphold justice.

The Hikoi has planned routes to allow supporters from different areas to join and participate along the way.

A safety vehicle is required, as are control vehicles to the front and rear of the Hikoi and The Hikoi Committee will need to assist where necessary to keep to schedules, and to ensure participants return to home locations safely. In turn the committee will need assistance with costs associated to this travel.

Hikoi for Justice and their committee have organised accommodation venues and food for the journey at a very reasonable cost of $20 per night per person. This however, for some families who really deserve to be a part of this Hikoi as much as everyone else, will not be able to attend, because of this expense. We would like to raise extra funds to help cover these families right to march for justice, even if only for a short way.

Although this plan is focused on the North Island, the South Island Hikoi will follow a similar progression.

1. Whangarei – Auckland

2. Auckland - Ngaruawahia

3. Ngaruawahia - Tauranga

4. Tauranga – Napier

5. Napier – Palmerston North

6. Palmerston North - Foxton

7. Foxton - Wellington

We hope to see you there, and thank you all so much for your consideration to support us, and help us cover these expenses. We are everyday real people doing extraordinary things to make things right for everyone so please do go along to our facebook page Hikoi for Justice Aotearoa where you will find access to more detailed information and registration forms, and people who are already supporting each other with love and light.

Many Thanks
