Higher Education for my daughter

My daughter is a student of Engineering in Biotechnology who is passionate about developing skills and knowledge in diagnosis and treatment of diseases with the aid of technology.

Due to limited resources available in India to develop the specialist skill set such as this, she had to turn to international universities of special standing. She has been a consistently hard working and a passionate student scoring first class with distinction in all crucial examinations and she has completed her B.E. (undergraduate course in Biotechnology) likewise in Aug 2018. She has secured admission into few premier universities offering master’s in Biotechnology abroad.

However, I find that in these universities tuition fees and other expenses range between $80,000-$90,000 for the entire course. Since I am from a middle-class family, I find that I can scrape up about 10-15% of this expense while I can source another 10-15% through a student loan for her. And she will also find jobs to work on campus to make up on living expenses. However, scholarships from the US for international students require domicile status and are enclosed with other strictures.

Hence I have decided to turn to Crowdfunding, as a legitimate and appropriate option to raise funds for her higher education.

Also, It is my view that a student like her should not be unduly burdened with a hefty student loan at the beginning of her career.

Therefore, I request your support in helping her to pursue and achieve her goal towards becoming an empowered and contributing female member of the society, by pursuing her higher education, i.e., an MS in Biotechnology in the USA.

I cannot tell you how much she is passionate towards attaining her goals and contributing effectively for the benefit of community.

I wish to state here, that she has involved herself in various pro- bono / charity deeds, for eg. volunteered with a college association to raise awareness on cancer, and volunteered and completed 100 hrs to teach poor government school children in our local community.

She is socially conscious and service oriented and I can assure you that she will pay this forward when she gets access to a stable income and help/support other students in need.

I, too on my part, would endeavor to fulfill the needs of other such students, to the best of my capability, in the near future.

Hence, I am sure you consider my request for financial support as a legitimate case and donate as much as possible from your end, as I intend to raise around US $60,000, through Crowdfunding, by reaching as many willing people as possible.
