Campaign Story
To coincide with the launch of MercyHome Freetown’s new Higher Education initiative, James will be running the Wachau Marathon in Austria for a third successive year. The HigherEd program is designed to enable talented and motivated young adults to return to education, so that they can complete their school leaving certificate and go on to higher education or vocational training.
This year’s marathon fundraising effort is aiming to raise enough to cover university fees and teaching materials for the three eldest MercyHome students as they embark on their first year in higher education at university in Freetown.
