Hi guys! My name is Haley Clapp. I'm 18 years old and live in central Illinois. For almost 9 years I've suffered from depression, anxiety, irritable bowel syndrome, and bi-polar disorder. It all started when my father lost his job and we had to move to a different town when he eventually got another one. I don't know why, but for some reason I just mentally didn't take it well. At all. I was in 6th grade then. My mother pulled me out of public school later on that year because I just couldn't go. I couldn't sit through class. So, she pulled me out and we started a home-school program. A few months later, my father lost his job again and we then couldn't afford to continue the home-schooling. It's been around 8 years since then. In 2009, my dad got injured while working on my older sisters car. Two surgeries later, he's unable to see out of that eye clearly. He's had a CDL license for most of his life, but due to the injury, it got taken away. Which rendered him unable to do what he has been trained to do; which in the end, left him jobless. Right now he's in the process of getting Social Security, but that process is very, very slow. My mother on the other hand, in my lifetime, has never worked. She has degenerative disk disease in her back and it causes her pain daily. She's been unable to work for probably 19 years or more. She's been receiving SSI for my entire life. Right now, her SSI check once a month is all we're surviving on. It's around $720 dollars. Which is, obviously, not enough to live on. We're just barely getting by. On top of all that, in late November our only vehicle decided to quit working. The repair costs to fix it were way too expensive, so we had a junk yard come and get it. So now, we're carless and unable to get another one on our current income. I hate to do it, but I'm at my wits end. I need help. I want to eventually got to college and do well for myself in life. But I can't. I first need my high school diploma. I need it to be able to go anywhere in life. And right now, me and my family just cannot afford it. And I don't see us being able to for a long while. So, that's where you come in. I need your help. If your can, please donate. It doesn't have to be a lot. Whatever you can give is completely and utterly appreciated. You won't only just help me graduate, you'll be changing my life. So again, if you can, donate. Anything helps me at this point.
