Campaign Story
I am a High school Spanish teacher in a community that has never had advanced Spanish. My small group of kids are the first six to ever get more than two years of Spanish in High School. To commemorate this we would like to send them on a ten day tour of Costa Rica. While looking through touring companies, the cheapest tour we could find ended up being $12,000! We have raised $1700 but have not had much success getting any more. We live in a small rural community that has no extra jobs for teeneagers (no fast-food or mall), we have been mowing lawns, shoveling driveways etc., but it just hasn't been enough.
Two of my kids have never even been on a plane, and none of them have a passport. The closest major town from us is an hour away and many of us have never been on a real vacation, much less to a foreign country!
In order to give these kids a chance that the majority will never get otherwise, I would REALLY like to fund this trip to Costa Rica. Any amount helps!
