High School Research Trip to Cuba

Five high school students will get the opportunity to conduct multilayered research in Cuba for the upcoming summer in 2014. The research trip will focus on politics, identity, culture, and youth activism. Selected students attend a Title I school in Washington, DC and opportunities for travel is very limited because of a lack of funding. With your donation, you can make this opportunity come to fruition. 

As an educator for 11 years, I have traveled to many parts of the world and brought back artifacts to be used in the classroom. I know that nothing is equivalent to being in another country and this research trip  will allow students to embark on a life changing and memorable adventure that will broaden their scope and enhance their researching skills.
