The 2019 High Desert Arts & Literary Festival returns this year on April 12 and 13 at the Historic Apple Valley Inn in Apple Valley.
Once again, this festival presents a unique opportunity to Sponsors in the High Desert business communities to expand their visibility, support local STEM education and scholarship programs, and bring an enriching cultural event to our region.
This year’s highly visible and historic exhibit venue across from the Apple Valley Town Hall and Civic Center, will showcase diverse artists and artisans who are inspired professionals, talented amateurs, and promising students from across our region. 100% of proceeds from the High Desert Arts and Literary Festival provide middle and high school girls the opportunity to realize their dreams through STEM-based education programs and to assist nontraditional-aged women to improve their lives through scholarships to Victor Valley College.
With the tremendous support of our sponsors last year, the AAUW Victor Valley Branch* was able to host the Celebrating Women in Math and Science Conference for 300 8th grade girls, send four girls to Tech Trek STEM camp at UC Irvine, and provide four women with scholarships to return to school at Victor Valley College!

Campaign : I need support for my Career... I am Samad belongs to a very poor family. I have six member in my family including my parents, 3sisters, a grandmother and me. My father is retired since 2010. I am 23 years old and completed my bachelor from a university. As you know it’s too hard to get job in my country without having a strong method or paying huge amount of money, and that’s what I am suffering for. I used to do tuition and earn very poor money which is not sufficient for me where my family is being dependable on me. But I want to move forward my career, I want to get a higher degree from any foreign country. Probably, this is not possible foe me if I cannot do arrangements of money of approximately $5000. Now a days it hard to earn money beside my study in my country. My parents are physically ill and I have to take care of them regularly. Our monthly family consumption is up to $500. Being the first issue of this family I am getting to much pressure. I nether want my carrer to get spoilt nor my family do suffer of money. That is why I made decision to get support from you and move to Europe to complete my Masters. Because I know if I study in Europe, besides my study I can be able to earnn money which will help me to support my family as well as my study. But initially, I need support by you take start my journey. If you cannot donate ; never mind please. Just bless me to get help by creator. That will be the best support for me.
