On a cold Friday in February, baby Jude surprised everyone and decided to join us 8 weeks early. Weighing only 4lbs 11oz, he may be small, but sometimes the best things in life are the little things. Despite his early arrival, he is doing amazing. He is growing and progressing with ease. Fortunately, he is very healthy with the only real problem being his calcium levels being low, despite getting suppliments. He is a fiesty baby already, giving the nurses grief and making it clear to them that he does not like them putting his "shades" on to protect his eyes from the bright blue lights he had to be under. Most of his nurse's time was spent fighting to get them to stay on him without getting pulled off almost immediately. For someone so tiny, he already has such a big personality. Unfortunately, since he came so early he has to stay at a hospital that is over an hour and a half from Mommy and Daddy and his sisters and brother. This has made things even harder on the whole family, who has been through a pretty horrible past 2 years. I'm looking for help for transportation and lodging and taking care of the rest of my family while he is in there. Any help is appreciated.
