My name is Sarah, I am Hetty's (not so cool) sister. I am one of the luckiest people in the world, simply because I have Hetty (Spaghetti) as my sister.. The kindest, most extraordinarily caring mum/sister, any of us are ever likely to meet.
Saturday 3rd October was Hetty's 35th birthday, she planned to go to 'Go Ape' in Exeter and have fun climbing tree's & high ropes, wizzing along zip wires like a monkey with her friends & family. Sadly things didn't go to plan. Hetty suffered a brain hemorrhage early Saturday morning and was blue lighted to Derriford Neurology Unit. Never in a million years did any of us expect it. Nor were we prepared to witness the amount of pain our beautiful girl was in.... Not the way anybody should spend their birthday!
That day, we were told by specialists that we may lose her. Without a doubt the darkest, most heart wrenching day of our lives....
Luckily, being the little legend that she is, it looks Hetty is going to be OK, she's in a lot of pain, but hopefully the worst is over. The very thought of losing her, has only cemented the fact that Harriet Lacey is quite simply an exceptional human being, those who have ever had the pleasure to meet her and be graced with her humor & kindest will vouch for that.
We would like to give Hetty something to look forward to, something she never expected, Hetty never got to enjoy her birthday, after some time in hospital (we don't know when she will be home) We would really love to raise enough money for Hetty & her gorgeous children Georgie (12) & Ashton (4) to go somewhere really special together. I know this will mean more than anything to her. We have set the target at £500 but the more we can raise the more exciting this will be for all of them.
Thank you all, so much for taking the time to read this, don't worry if you can't donate, Hetty wouldn't want you to take your last few quid, she would rather you spent it on a bottle of wine and some matching socks :)
If you love her, thank you, if you don't know Hetty but are touched by this story... thank you too!
