Local association football club, Hesketh Bank AFC, have recently invested very heavily in their junior club section in the form of the new purpose built changing facilities located at the Shore Road pitch.
Grass roots football is very important in the development of not only football skills but social skills, team building, fairplay, mutual respect & healthy living. This facility will be around to support not only our children but our children’s children and hopefully further! We are extremely lucky to have a local club that back their junior section in such a fantastic way.
Steve Wignall (Manager U8’s), Martin Davies (U8’s Assistant), Kevin Brown (U8’s Assistant), & Bev Rothwell (Wife of Manager U6’s) wanted to do their bit to try and raise some funds for the club by taking part in a 'No Ego Mud challenge' (http://www.noegochallenge.com/) on the 10th of May.
This challenge will be exactly that…a massive challenge that’s well deserving of a few quid to go to our club and help our junior section for many years to come.
A huge thank you from Steve, Martin, Kevin, Bev & the hundreds of young boys and girls who will reap the benefit of this fantastic facility for many years.
