We were contacted this afternoon by a very special concerned Dr at Bara Burns about a precious little Hero that sustained 65% Body Surface Severe Burns and also Inhalation Burns in a house fire yesterday 3/11.
She is incubated and ventilated in ICU.
This angel Hero - Khosi Sibanyoni (6), were admitted to Rob Ferreira State Hospital in Nelspruit that is not equipped to look after her burns and Baragwaneth were contacted - A bed were then located for her in The Red Cross Hospital in Cape Town and they advised that the bed will be allocated to #HeroKhosi if air transfer could be arranged for her as soon as possible!
Between this Special Dr and Rob Ferreira the best quote for a fixed wing ICU airplane to do the transfer were at a cost R150,000.
She needs to be transferred ASAP in order to be given a chance at survival!
Through responses on our request this afternoon we contacted various companies and emergency services and then got the very best quote of R120,000 through Aerocare Flying Ambulance whom immediately started the process to help us get her to Red Cross still tonight.
We had to secure a Loan - until such time we are able to raise this R120,000 and made the payment. This was a frightening move from our side but had to be done giving that this may save a child's life!
I am currently in contact with Aerocare that are almost ready to take off from Bloemfontein with ICU staff on their way to Nelspruit (this is an hour and 45 minutes flight). Thank You to AJ Dreyer that is handling the logistics of having #HeroKhosi transported from Rob Ferreira ICU in an ICU Ambulance, at the airfield in Nelspruit at just the right time that the airplane arrives.
Mom will then fly with #HeroKhosi, her 4 months old baby and the ICU staff to Red Cross Hospital in Cape Town where they are waiting on her!
I will keep you updated as the process progresses.
Prayers prayers prayers needed!
In order to cover the expenses of this flight (R120,000) we will raise funds for #HeroKhosi.
