Campaign to Support Haneen in Paying for her second year university!

This campaign was made for the purpose of fundraising enough money to support a child of war and poverty in completing her education.

Haneen Nour has spent 11 out of 18 years of her life living in a war zone. She, like hundreds of other children of war-stricken countries find hope through their education. However, in the Syrian education system only the margin of students who surpass an 80% GPA are able to qualify for government universities— meaning students receive a loan to cover the costs of their tuition. Those who are unable to meet that requirement are forced to continue their education at a private institution, having to pay their tuition out of their own pockets.

This requirement had been raised to 80% recently and without warning, so you can imagine Haneen’s disappointment when she found out the marks she worked so hard for no longer qualify her to receive support with her education. Due to the war in Syria, poverty has hit an all time high and being able to afford going to school has become more of a privilege rather than a human right. Her parents are willing to sell their home to help Haneen cover the cost of a private university but it is not enough; it can only cover a very small part of her education expense. Each year is roughly $2320 for a total of $11,600 for a period of 5 years.
