Hello kind souls! I'm Anna, the daughter of a brave woman whom I called Mama Lalaine.

I've known her for being a hard-working, well dedicated and a loving mother. She lives a simple life and is willing to do as much as she can just for her family. My parents are both government employees that supports and provides not just our family’s basic needs but also for me and my sister's college education. We continuously strive harder in our academics so that we can get scholarships so that we could at least ease up some of the burden they silently bear, specifically, to my mother. Somehow, with God’s grace, we get by, we are just fine but we are happy…

THEN, all of a sudden in our simple life, Everything has changed. Lalaine B. Rombawa, our dear mother, was diagnosed last April 2020 with Glioblastoma Multiforme, a brain tumor and was advised for an immediate surgery.

Upon the detection for her illness, she experienced sudden weakness on the left side of her body (both arm and leg) that caused her difficulty in walking and doing the things she usually do before. More so, that the tumor in the right side of her brain also causes frequent seizures (epileptic attack), blurring vision, and constant excruciating headaches.

Due to the ongoing pandemic worldwide and here in the Philippines, it is harder for us to take necessary actions because of the community health protocols. She went through different hospitals in which some rejected us due to Covid protocols. The doctors prescribed her to undergo surgery to remove the tumor right after the lockdown. Our family is in dire need of financial assistance (logistics, surgery, treatment, recovery and medications).

We are knocking on your kind hearts to include her on your prayers and whatever small monetary assistance you can share to our family. No matter how small it is, if there are more generous individuals who would contribute through God’s guidance, we know it would be able to support our mother’s medical needs.

We are not yet ready to lose our mom, I hope you could help us even on the smallest things that could boost her to win this battle. We want to see her get better and see the smiles on her face so that she could witness the milestone/achievements that is waiting for us (me and my younger sister).

Together let us fight against this battle and don't allow this illness to shatter her bright future and of our family’s. You are all blessed and a blessing to others!
