HER 2 MEDICATION

I am, Girlie Valina, a mother of four. I was initially diagnosed with breast cancer stage 3c. Aware of the dire consequence if I did not seek immediate medical intervention, I underwent surgery; thereafter I had chemotherapy and radio therapy procedures.

Having no health care insurance, all of my family’s resources were used up for my chemo and radio therapy sessions.

However, while undergoing through these procedures, I have been tested HER2 positive which requires very expensive medications.

HER2 POSITIVE is a breast cancer that tests positive for a protein called human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 which promotes the growth of cancer cells.

The treatment for HER2 POSITIVE requires a total of 18 chemotherapy sessions using Herceptin, which is very expensive. Each session requires 2 vials of Herceptin which costs Php 49,755; thus, a single session would cost me Php 99,510.00.

Through the kind assistance of friends, family and the community where I live, I was able to buy 10 vials which could last for 5 sessions; thus, I still need 13 session which would cost Php 1,293,630.00.

Given my family’s limited income which barely supports my family, I seek your kindness and generosity to help me fight cancer through your donation.
