we've adopted tofu for nearly three years and he's recently been diagnosed with oral cancer. we've come to the decision of removing his upper jaw where the tumours are to try to save him, but the surgery alone costs ~$4500 and a ct scan ~$2500 is required before they can do anything. his surgery needs to be done asap and it's quite hard to come up with such a large sum in less than a month. any form of donation or sharing definitely helps.
he's been such a sweet boy and i think after being a breeding dog for years, he deserves a long, fulfilling post adoption life.

review regarding use of steriods
Update posted by Alysa Lou at 05:03 amwent back to the vet to see if the steroids worked and it did help raise his platelet levels tremendously. op is confirmed on the 24/7.

Update posted by Alysa Lou at 05:00 amwent back to review his platelets and they were much lower than before so the vet gave him steroids to halt his immune system from destroying the platelets. his surgery for the cancer is to be postponed to 24/7 to ensure that his blood clotting abilities is normal before undergoing
ct scan
Update posted by Alysa Lou at 03:17 pmafter his ct scan today (30/6)! results will be back in around 3 days so that we can make it in time for the surgery that's tentatively scheduled on 12/7 aka the earliest date available
