My name is Simnikiwe Ntyantya. I have just completed my Bachelor of Commerce in Corporate Finance and Investment and Economics at the University of the Witwatersrand (in South Africa). I am opening this account to raise fee funds to enable me to graduate.

I am the oldest of 3 born children and we were raised in East London in the Eastern Cape, where the rest of my family still lives. I’ve always dreamt beyond my means and thrived through generational barriers that I have been faced with throughout my life and career. I have always believed that the most effective way to break the barriers is through educating myself in hopes to better the lives of those around me as well as to inspire the generations to come to do the same.

After seeing the hardships my parents experienced in order to get me through high school, I realized that the only way I would be able to further my studies would be through the receipt of financial assistance.

That financial assistance came in the form of National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NFSAS) which assisted me in paying for my studies from 2013 to 2016. In my last year of university I unfortunately was not awarded NSFAS due to a lack of funds. I was determined on ensuring that my family and the generations after me would be in a better financial standing than I was in, and with that I completed my degree with faith that I would find a way to fund my fees.

On the 23rd of March 2018, I am due to be the first person in my family to graduate and hold a degree. This achievement is not solely mine but that of my family and generations after me. I am determined to teaching my siblings as well as my nieces and my nephews that one's financial situation should not be a reason not to pursue one's dreams. The 23rd of March is expected to be the day in which I allow my parents to dream again and reveal that all the sacrifices and hardships experienced throughout my academic journey, were not in vain.

The only barrier standing between me and the Great Hall of the University of the Witwatersrand is R30 000. I am appealing for you to assist me in settling my fees account to ensure that I am able to walk across that hall and get the degree which is guaranteed to transform my life and the lives of those around me. Any contribution would be welcomed and highly appreciated.

I thank you in advance for investing in my future

Sincerely

Simnikiwe Ntyantya
