Help us save our dad’s heart

There are lots of things that are happening in our lives that are unexpected - like the current pandemic situation, or a healthy family member who suddenly became ill.

My dad is a 54 year-old loving husband with 4 kids and 2 grandchildren. He has been perfectly healthy and was never hospitalized his entire life, but things have suddenly changed this year.

He suffered a heart attack at around 4:00 AM last January 11, 2021 and stayed in the hospital for days so he can get monitored closely and was only discharged when he became stable.

According to the final laboratory test results and findings, my dad's diagnosis is SEVERE 3-VESSEL CORONARY ARTERY DISEASE INVOLVING PROXIMAL LEFT ANTERIOR DESCENDING ARTERY, PROXIMAL LEFT CIRCUMFLEX AND MID-RIGHT CORONARY ARTERY.

He is in need of Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting - a surgical procedure to restore normal blood flow to an obstructed coronary artery.

We have applied for the PhilHealth Z Package which if approved is going to cover a certain amount for the CABG. However, there is a long waiting list as a lot of people are applying for it and only given to a chosen few. Our dad's cardiologist has advised us that his surgery needs to be done immediately.

Our dad is taking 10 different meds daily as maintenance supporting him prior to his surgery. We have used up all of our savings because of his previous hospital admission and the meds he's currently taking are quite expensive.

Setting up this fundraiser is one of the ways we thought of that can help us put together the funds we need for his surgery and medicines.

Our dad is still young and still has a life ahead of him. Please help us give our dad a shot in extending his life and be with his family for a long time.
