Help Save Ayisha from F.I.R.E.S.

Update posted by Glenn Apacible On Nov 19, 2017

After almost 2 months in the hospital, Ayisha is finally home. Discharged from PCMC, we went straight to my brother's home. Ayisha did not immediately recognize their house but when Oreo, her dog, came out, we saw how her memories are slowly getting back. She insisted on trying to walk with her parents' support. She insisted on checking out every corner of their house until she saw her room. There, her face lit up and got excited to see all her things and the unopened gifts from friends for her birthday.

Thank you so much to family, relatives, friends and even people who we do not know who kept the prayer vigil with us during Ayisha's weakest days. We strongly believe that we would not have survived those endless days if not for all the prayers that stormed heaven asking for Ayisha's healing.

Thank you also for the financial support that came our way from different sides of the world, from family, relatives, friends and again, to people who we do not know. It certainly helped save the life of our little Angel Ayisha.

From here on, we start a new journey. A new lease in life for our dear Ayisha. We pray that the seizures will not recur and that everything that happened was just a test of our faith and love for our Lord. May HIS healing hands always touch Ayisha, her doctors, nurses, therapists and all those who surround her.

As we start her series of therapies to bring her completely back to her old self, we ask that you always join us in prayers.

We still ask for prayers and Mama Mary's intervention to keep her seizure free all her life.

Once again, thank you for being with us in this journey. May our good Lord always bless us all.

Hi friends, we gladly share with you Ayisha's first artwork after almost 2 months in the hospital battling F.I.R.E.S. Home and love of family describe her first creation, which really touched us; we're happy to know that despite of her disease and what she went through, she can still remember us and we're still in her heart. We love you Ayisha.

This may just be a simple drawing, but to our family, this means a lot, especially after witnessing how Ayisha's seizures affected her brain and body control. This artwork reminds us to keep on holding and stay in the fight−Ayisha will be home soon.

Instead of having a 12-hr EEG test as originally planned, Ayisha had a 24-hr EEG test. And we're happy to announce that Ayisha was seizure-free during the said test. :) We claim that she is already healed by our merciful God and Savior. We are now on the road ro recovery. Meds have somehow affected her brain and we are now on rehabilitation stage so we can bring Ayisha back to her age. We know that nothing is impossible with God so we still ask for your help to storm the heaven with prayers for the complete recovery of our princess. This is going to be a long journey for us but we know that through God's help, we will weather this.

A concert for a cause will be staged by Ayisha's talented friends at OFF THE GRILL in Timog Ave., Quezon City, Philippines on November 15, 2017 at 7pm. Tickets at ₱400 inclusive of a bottle of drink. Proceeds of the show will go to Ayisha's hospital & rehabilitation expenses.

Again, we thank you for the support you've given to Ayisha. May God bless you always.

We thank the Lord for bringing Ayisha back to us. Today, we've seen her stand on her toes with here dad's help. We've also seen her communicating with her PT for her rehab, but what touched us the most is we've finally heard her talk. Yes, even if she had difficulty talking because of her trach, she spoke to us saying she wants to go home already and wants to remove her NGT & trach.

Ayisha will have another 12-hr EEG session this Friday, October 27, 2017. Please join us in praying that no seizures will be detected.

Thank you to those who donated and to those who continue to pray for our princess. Prayers still needed for Ayisha's full recovery.

We are continuing our fight for Ayisha as she is already fighting FIRES with us. Still with seizures in her EEG, she tries to fight off her seizures. Hoping that her PCMC doctors will soon be able to figure out the right combination of meds to stop the seizures. Please continue praying with us for Ayisha's healing and full recovery.

Ayisha is finally out of PCMC ICU at around 2pm today and is transferred to a private room. Her vitals are all ok, seizure-free from 11am of October 16 to time of this writing (10pm October 17). Sharing her vibrant smile to all. Please continue praying with us as we know that this is still a long journey before she fully recovers. For the improvements we are seeing, we bring all the praises and thanks to our Greatest Healer and Father.

Thank you for all your prayers, shared posts and donations. We appreciate continuous prayers, sharing the posts, and donations for Ayisha's healing and recovery.

We were given clearance by The Medical City (TMC) doctors that Ayisha is already stable enough to be transported to PCMC. Meds she's taking now are helping but still does not take away the seizures completely. Her on and off fever is making it even worse for our liltle angel.

Ayisha is awake. She knows what is happening around her. She smiles at us, fears when she sees the syringe near her IV, gets sad when probably she remembers her healthy days but it really tears us down when we see her close her eyes whenever seizures strike her, desperately trying to fight her seizure but failing.
