Please, Help! Rebuild a Family Home & Stop Them From Getting Homeless.

This is Mr. Bonifacio Acob and his wife Elizabeth Acob. My loving parents. They are now 63 and 60 years old. They lived in a 1400 square meter lot with a house they call Home. Unfortunately, during the last Typhoon that hit the Philippines, their house got destroyed completely and because Home insurance was not even introduced in that particular area, there were no other funds given to help them. See the damages of the house in the picture below.

It is common in our culture that the children provide support for their parents especially when they are older and I have been providing some support to my dear parents monthly including the repayments of their loans ever since I started working. Unfortunately, nearly 4 years ago, my husband got injured and he was not able to work anymore after that. He had undergone a lot of treatments, medications and also surgery but his situation got worse instead. As a home-based mom, caring for my three kids and an injured husband, Eventhough I work as well to help our situation, it is still not enough and finances became very low in supply. My financial support to my parents also had been affected and because of these that the bank is now taking the action to repossess the land and the little shack which they managed to build from the ruins where they are now living will also be taken away should my parents fail to provide the remaining balance of the Educational & House Building Loan.

I am appealing to all who are generous enough to please help my family, especially my parents not to lose their home. I am in Ireland and they are in Philippines. As much as I want to help them, It is really out of my reach financially and also because we are very far from each other. My father is 63 and my mother is 60. They have been happily married for 38 years and live in that home for 20 years. Although they are still young, but my father had suffered 3 minor strokes already in 10 years period and I can't bear the fact that they are going to be homeless anytime soon if we are not able to pay the balance of the loan which is around $15,000. This loan by the way was taken before for educational purposes and to build the house. The house that got destroyed by the typhoon. And the land was made collateral. So, i am appealing to you all to please help.
